Ferment Your Own Kimchi: Preserving the Hydroponic Harvest

Are you interested in fermentation and kimchi? Do you have an interest in hydroponics? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, then this workshop is for you!

Join Trevor Ring, founder of Community Cultures, to dive into the world of fermented veggies in this introductory, hands-on workshop. After getting a tour of the hydroponics system at River City Growers, we’ll use their hydropinically-grown bok choy to make their own kimchi. Learn the basics of making lacto-fermented veggies, understand the vast world of kimchi, and walk away with a jar of kimchi to ferment at home! Participants will also receive handouts and the confidence to ferment any vegetable at home.

No special equipment is required for this workshop. Come prepared to chop and ferment with the community!
